Visiting and Meditation
Visitation Hours: 9AM-5PM
Office Hours: 9AM-3PM (memorial services, goshuin, omamori, etc.)
Daijoji is open year-round and admission is free. Free parking is available. The temple has special opening hours during the New Year’s holiday.
The temple is free to visit but we ask that you do make a donation to help us maintain the temple.
Guided tours ¥500 per person (30 minutes, reservations required, intended for groups)
No fees are charged for group visits to the temple.

Zen Meditation
Daijoji offers authentic Zen meditation workshops in the Zazendo Hall under the guidance of a Buddhist priest.
Price ¥1,000 per person
(weekdays only, reservations required, intended for groups)
Time: 30 minutes. The Zazendo Hall has a maximum capacity of 20 people. If the number of participants exceeds the capacity of Zazendo Hall, the workshop may be held in a different building. Off-site meditation workshops are also available (reservations required).
Zen Meditation Sundays
1:30PM-3PM (registration 1PM-1:30PM), no reservations, first-come-first-served
No reservations accepted; participants are determined on a first-come-first-served basis. Please donate so that we can continue to hold Zen Meditation Sundays.
The workshops are held weekly but may be cancelled if there are conflicts with other events or ceremonies. Please refer to the event calendar for details. We ask that you please do not contact us for more information about Zen Meditation Sundays.
